How to create Meetings in Atlantis

Meetings can be created in Atlantis in a few simple steps

There is a default meeting object that gets created in the Courses table called "Mtg". This object is created in the NoStudents year.

Here are the steps for creating Meetings:

  1. Go to Data Entry > Classes and select the NoStudents year
  2. Click into the bottom row of the table showing "..."
  3. Enter "Mtg"
  4. Click into the Section field and give the meeting a meaning entry here, for example "MathFaculty"
  5. Each other field behaves in the same way a regular class would, with one exception, the "Teacher req" field.
  6. Click on the pencil icon to the right of the "Teacher req" field. Every teacher you select in the pop up dialogue box will be hard coded to the meeting.
  7. Close the dialogue box once you have selected all the teachers for the meeting. You should get something like this:
    1. "ABCD only + WXYZ only"
  8. Now go straight to Timetables > Year timetables, select the NoStudents year and you will see a meeting object at the bottom of the timetable. Just drag this meeting onto the timetable.

Want all your meetings in their own "Meetings" Year?

This is simple:

  1. Create the Year level in Data Entry > Setup > Year-levels.
  2. Enter "Y" in the corresponding "For Meetings" field
  3. Go to Data Entry > Courses and select the NoStudents year level
  4. In the "Years" column (you may need to turn this column on) click and select the "Meetings" year you just created.
  5. Now you can create all your meetings in the Classes screen of the Meetings year
